Cloverbud Camps - volunteers needed!
cloverbud CampsThis 2-day, overnight camp provides youth ages 5-8 with the opportunity to have an overnight camping experience away from home. No previous experience in 4-H is necessary. These programs provide educational and recreational opportunities that are age-appropriate and supervised by Teen Leaders, Adult Volunteers, 4-H Center Camp Staff, as well as Extension Agents and the 4-H Center Program Director. Cloverbud camps are typically conducted several times per year and are designed around exciting and engaging themes! These camps help to provide the socialization that is necessary for children at that age. Campers at this age are full of energy and excitement and we are here to direct that energy and excitement to a positive and growing direction.

Teen Weekend - volunteers needed!
Teen WeekendTeen weekends are dedicated to the teens that volunteer their time and leadership skills to so many campers. Teen weekends are geared to provide fun and relaxation for the teens. A fairly laid back schedule allows for the teens to participate in classes and recreation time while including social time with their peers as well. Teens will not only learn from the staff but also each other while having a fun, educational, and safe experience at the 4-H Center.

4-H Hunter's Education - volunteers needed!
Hunter's EducationThis weekend camp is open to youth ages 9-18 from across Virginia. Certified instructors from around the Commonwealth provide the instruction and training necessary to receive a Virginia Hunter's Education Certificate. Unlike Hunter's Education courses found in your community, this weekend camp features the unique opportunity for youth to experience "live-fire" in a safe, controlled environment. This includes hands-on training in archery, riflery, and shotgun. Our priority is to provide youth with the appropriate hands-on training along with the required classroom-based training before receiving their Hunter's Education Certificate.
