Considered by many to be one of America's leading 4-H Centers, the W. E. Skelton 4-H Educational Conference Center is located just minutes from Roanoke, Virginia. Located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains and nestled neatly along the shores of Smith Mountain Lake, our spacious facilities and beautiful 120 acres offer the perfect get-away for youth and adult groups alike.
We can accommodate groups of 400+ people in dormitory and hotel-style lodging rooms, our large dining hall/auditorium, and our 15,000 square feet of meeting space. We also boast over fourteen (14) recreational areas, as well as several miles of beautiful hiking trails that feature scenic views of forests, streams, and fields.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, we are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and ensure high quality programs through adherence to the standards set forth by the ACA, as well as Virginia Cooperative Extension and Virginia 4-H.
